Need a favor

Hey Everyone!

I am sorry it has been so long since I have posted. I know I have been MIA the past several months, but things are good. I have just been trying to enjoy the summer and get ready for school.

Anyway, I need to ask you all for a favor. My favorite band in coming to Tempe in September and I was able to get tickets. They are allowing fans to vote for which of their five albums will be played. My pick is currently in second place. I am hoping for a little help to get my fave into the top spot.

So here's how it works. Just click on the picture below and and it will take you to the poll. You will then select the O next to The Walk and click vote.

You can vote once a day per internet web browser per computer. For example, if you have internet explorer and firefox you can vote from both once everyday. The polls are open to September 12th. Thanks Everyone!

Hello all! Sorry it has been a while since I have written. Not to much is going on. However, my mom and I did go see Les Misérables earlier this month. We were blown away! It was incredible! I loved wicked, but this was on a completely different level. It was the 25th anniversary so they updated it some and added extra effects. If you ever get the chance, go see it!

I was so excited to finally see the show. I have wanted to see it ever since my sophomore year of high school. We sang the song Own My Own and I was hooked. Since then I have gotten my hands on the soundtrack and the piano book. However, after seeing the show, the songs have so much more...power and meaning behind them.

I am enjoying having the summer off, but at the same time I am looking forward to the approaching semester. I am happy to report that the pool is FINALLY the perfect temperature. This cool weather is just odd this summer. What gives?

Schools out for summer!

Well, it is official. I am free for the summer. My grades are in and I very happy with what I have accomplished. It is nice to know that yes, I can still do this. I was afraid starting out, but this turned out to be the perfect class. I originally signed up for it because A) I needed a global credit and B) it was one of the more interesting late start classes available that would count for something. However, in the end I actually really enjoyed my class. I learned a lot. I always say the book choice can make or break the class. I have taken subjects that I loved, but hated the class because the book was so difficult to comprehend. I have also taken classes that I had no real interest in a found that I really enjoyed them because the book was easy to follow and good at explaining things. The class I took this past semester falls into the second category.

There was no final exam in my class. Instead we had a final project. We had to create a webpage about an environmental issue. I chose the deforestation of South America. If you interested in checking out what I did the link is: http://deforestationoftherainforest.blogspot.com/. I worked hard and am proud of the result. My teacher even asked to use it as an example for future classes. I guess that says something, no?

Another week, another weather change, and another headache…why? Anyway, I survived my crazy two week stretch of assignments. Yeah! The next two modules don’t look to bad, but I also need to find time to work on my final project in the mist of my regular assignments. Just one question, where has my brain gone?

I am still looking for someone to go pigeon/dove hunting. Any takers? That stupid bird is driving me insane! Oh well, that is life. How many months until fall?

Alright, you are all probably going to be laughing at me over this, but I do not care. It irritates me. What is this garbage about the triceratops not being real and is actually just a young version of another species? I know that science makes changes as new facts arise, but I think this is a little much. First they went from saying the T-rex was a fierce carnivore to saying that they were nothing but scavengers. Weirdoes! Make up you mind. The link below will take you to an article about the triceratops.

Okay, well now that I have ranted about something completely pointless, I need to try to get to my school work. Come on brain! Don’t fail me now!

Have a good week ya’ll!

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter weekend all!

By some miracle, I am just about done with my two week marathon of school assignments. Thank goodness!!! I only have one assignment left
(probably the easiest out of all of them) and I still have until Sunday. However, it is my hopes to get it done today so I can just chill this weekend.

So by any chance does anyone feel like going pigeon hunting? Ever spring this stupid bird sits on the roof outside of my bedroom and hoots from 6am till 2pm. AHHH! You all know I love animals, but I want to kill this stupid bird. I did not miss him. It has been so bad this week with my headache and trying to get schoolwork done that I actually started wearing earplugs to block out the all the hooting. I love that spring is back, the flowers are blooming, it has warmed up, I am even happy to see the sparrows back. However, that pigeon can stay gone year round and I will be happy. Okay, enough wining. Sorry about that!

Well, I guess that is about it for now. Oh, I almost forgot! I have added pictures from the epilepsy walk to the picture page. Check it out! I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! Happy Easter!

"Now let the heavens be joyful,
Let earth her song begin:
Let the round world keep triumph,
And all that is therein;
Invisible and visible,
Their notes let all things blend,
For Christ the Lord is risen
Our joy that hath no end."

You know what you gotta do when life gets you down? Just keep swimming. Just keep swimming. Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming.

Yes, Dory was my hero last week.  Her words kept me going. :o)

Last week was MISERABLE! I have a ton of stuff due this Sunday and I was sooo happy I was given two weeks to complete everything.  Well, a wicked migraine shot any hopes of being productive last week.  By Friday I was about ready to have a panic attack.  However, the terror has passed.  I seem to have gotten a hold on things.  Thank goodness!  Now I just need to quit procrastinating...and falling asleep on top of my book and get my reading done.  If only you could learn through osmosis.  I was reading my book the other day and the next thing I knew, it was almost two hours later. Oops!

My sleeping pattern seems to be seriously screwed up.  I was not feeling great yesterday afternoon so I decided I would lay down for an hour or so before getting back to work.  This was at 3:30pm.  When I opened my eyes and looked at the clock it said 9:30pm! ahhhh!  How did that happen!?! Thanks to my six hour nap, I was up all night.  Not happy, but I did get one of my assignments done at 2am. lol

Okay, that is all for now.  I really do need to get to my reading...if I can stay awake.  Wish me luck!  Have a good week all!

So...by any chance is someone holding my brain hostage?  It seems to be MIA.  If you see it, please tell it to come home.  Please and thank you!  After talking to some friends, it appears that brains have gone on strike.  Nooooooooo! lol

Anyway, guess who is driving again? That's right, me!  After two years I am back behind the wheel. Scared?  Even after two years I am a better driver than 3/4th of the lunatics on the road.  Breath easy, I am not over confident, just confident enough to be willing to get back into practice.  However, in the mean time I am being VERY careful.

My class is going well...which is what I am procrastinating from at the moment. Shhh...don't tell.  I have some reading I need to get done so I can take a quiz by Sunday and one more assignment that is also due on Sunday.  I have, however, completed more than half of the work for the week.

Well, that's it for now.  I really do need to get to work.  Have a good weekend all!
